Study on Locational Tendency of Public Facilities in Taipei and Detailed Analysis of Old House Project

There are many old buildings hidden in the city of Taipei. Taipei City Government drive the project to regenerate the old houses by using private sectors' capabilities effectively. This study focuses on these kind of renovation projects of old buildings, such as the ＂Urban Regeneration Station＂ founded by Urban Regeneration Office or the ＂Old House Project＂ founded by Department of Cultural Affairs. The purpose of this study is to analyze the location of these projects and general public facilities and to extract the difference between those two types. In order to analyze the locational tendency, we draw the distribution of population and public facility using GIS map. After discussing about the difference, we also focus the more details of building of the Old House Project. As a result, we confirmed the difference of locational tendency between each public facility. In the case of URS or Old House Project, their locations are quite different from ordinary public facility due to the purpose of cultural invention.
