Under structure different vegetable species, seasons, the sort of structures and managements, occurrence of different diseases and their seriousness during July 1991 to May 1992. were surveyed. The diseases found were Rhizoctonia blight, Pythium rot, soft rot, root knot, wilting, downy mildew, black rot, anthracnose, white rust and black spot (leaf spot). The continuous cultivation under structure favored the development of soilborne-diseases, such as induced Rhizoctonia solani and Pythiun spp. For air-borne disease, the most serious one is downy mildew. Among ten vegetable species surveyed, black mustard have the highest disease ratio which always results in devastating damage.
