This study adopted the method of literature analysis to explore the concepts of effective teaching performances for physical education teachers. To analyze the concepts of the effective teaching performances included the definition, characteristics and dimensions of the effective teaching performances. In generally, the dimensions of effective teaching performances for physical education teachers including teaching plans, teaching strategies, teaching evaluations and teaching atmospheres, etc. By the concepts and some behavior indexes of effective teaching performances, physical education teachers could get some enlightenment and benefits. In the process of teaching, teachers may establish the steady teaching principles and experiences in physical education by observations, reflections and revises.
