Imaging Diagnosis of a Primary Retroperitoneal Hemangioma Arising From the Ovarian Vessels

Retroperitoneal hemangioma is a rare illness, which may be found incidentally or present with symptoms when locally invaded to adjacent structures. Due to the rarity of retroperitoneal hemangioma, radiological diagnosis can be difficult. However, characteristics features of imaging finding of such disease should be looked for in diagnosis of retroperitoneal mass lesions. Surgical resection is often performed for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Here we report a case of primary retroperitoneal hemangioma arising from the ovarian vessels with typical imaging appearance. The computerized tomographic images were presented and the associated literatures were reviewed.
