Traumatic Isolated Gallbladder Perforation Causing Hepatic Subcapsular Abscess: A Case Report

摘要

An 83-year-old female patient was admitted to our hospital following the fracture of the right pubic bone in a motorcycle accident. She was discharged with a stable condition on day 5 of hospitalization. However, she was admitted again 4 days later because of dyspnea. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography revealed a massive right pleural effusion, perforation of the gallbladder, and hepatic subcapsular fluid, or abscess. Percutaneous transhepatic gallbladder drainage and chest tube insertion for the right pleural effusion were performed. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy and drainage of the hepatic subcapsular abscess were conducted. A 3 × 3 cm perforation with a sharp margin was observed at the gallbladder fundus. The patient made an uneventful recovery during the 12 days of hospitalization.
