摘要

近年來台灣社會老化快速，2012年底老年人口超過260萬人，佔總人口11.15%。老人養護機構以生活自理能力缺損需他人照顧之老人為照顧對象，其無障礙環境空間之設計與規劃對入住者之生活及照護品質具有決定性的影響。本文針對老人養護機構之環境空間與設施，以住民使用行為及需求為考量，提出無障礙環境設計之重點內容與建議。老人養護機構住民多使用行動輔具協助移行，且合併感官或認知功能損傷，對於機構內無障礙環境設施之使用行為與需求，表現於室外通路、室內出入口、室內通路走廊、寢室、樓梯、昇降設備及衛浴設備等面向。根據國內老人養護機構發展現況，考量其特性與限制，並透過住民使用行為與需求，提出適用於國內老人養護機構之無障礙環境設計重點內容。

The population of elders reached 2.6 million (11.15% of the total population) in 2012, indicating fast aging of Taiwan society in the recent years. Senior care facilities provide care and assistance for elders who have difficulty in self-care, and designs of barrier-free environment are crucial to maintain and improve their quality of life as well as the quality of care services. This paper investigated senior care facilities in terms of space configuration and function of use, emphasizing on user behavior and needs. The most common assistive devices used by the senior residents were wheelchairs, rollators and walkers. In addition to physical disabilities, many residents are suffered from sensory and cognitive impairments. The user behavior and needs of barrier-free environment mainly focus on outdoor pathways, indoor entrances, indoor pathways and hallways, bedrooms, stairways, elevation devices, and bathrooms/toileting equipment. Strategies for the designs of barrier-free environment were proposed based on the current development and limitations of senior care facilities.
