西部各地区实际有效汇率指数的构建研究

摘要

本文计算了西部8个地区的实际有效汇率指数，并对这些个别指数与全国总体的实际有效汇率指数进行了对比，研究发现，除四川地区的实际有效汇率指数与全国总体的实际有效汇率指数高度相关，可以相互替代外，其它地区的个别指数与全国总体指数存在着较大的差异。如果考虑各年贸易比重的变动，以及各地的CPI与全国CPI并不相同这两个因素，上述差异还会扩大。因此，如果要分析汇率变动对我国各地区贸易收支的影响，最好采用各地区的实际有效汇率代替全国的实际有效汇率。

In this paper we construct real effective exchange rate indexes for eight regions of western China, and we compare them with the total index of China. The results indicate there are nontrivial differences between them except the index of Sichuan province which is highly correlated with the national index and is interchangeable with the national index. If considering changes of trade weight yearly, and the difference between regional CPI and national CPI, the above difference may be larger. Therefore, if we want to analyze the effect of changes of exchange rate on the trade at the sub national level, we had better use the regional real effective exchange rate index instead of the national one.
