大學通識課程之教與學-以「電與生活」為例

摘要


本研究主要是以明志科技大學修習「電與生活」這門通識課程之四技學生為主要研究對象,主要包括化工系、材料系兩系學生,共計26人,為了配合課程需要,本課程結合教育部「教學卓越計畫」中的子計畫之一「提升教學品質-加強基礎課程」進行戶外參訪活動,以及在課程設計上以多元彈性的單元教學活動使師生產生良好的互動。本研究主要目的為提供自然科學方面之通識課程教師有關教與學之實務,包括教材製作、教具使用、學期報告,以及結合實務的戶外參訪活動,這都可以直接幫助學生對課程的瞭解與增進學習的興趣,使得學生除了在課堂上獲得知識外,更能激發學生自我學習的意願,達到事半功倍之效果。本研究提出學生學習通識之動機與該具備什麼心態,以及具體可行的教學原則,同時也對此課程之實施成效提出建議。

The main object of this study is the twenty-six four-year college students who take the general education course "Electricity and Life" from the Departments of Chemical Engineering and Materials Engineering in Ming Chi University of Technology. In coordination with the needs in instruction, this course not only includes outdoor visiting activities in the "Upgrading the Teaching and Learning-Enforcement of Basic Courses" subprogram sponsored by the "Aim for the Top University Plan" of the Ministry of Education, but also provides multiple and flexible instructional units to create the good interactions between teachers and students. The primary purpose of this study is to provide for teachers of natural sciences the instructional practices in general education courses, which include the development of teaching contents, the use of teaching materials, the report of term paper, and the outdoor visiting activities. Students can benefit from these practices by effectively developing understandings and interests in course, accumulating knowledge in class, and stimulating will of self-study. This study also points out the proper attitude and motives in learning general education courses, the feasible principles in teaching general education courses, and the practical suggestions for evaluating the performance of implementing general education courses.
