Effects of Humic Acid on the Quality of Wentan Pomelo in Hualien Area

To improve the quality of Wentan pomelo in Hualien area, the humic acid solution was sprayed on leaves three times after the middle period during the fruit development. Effects of the humic acid on the quality of Wentan pomelo were not similar between different orchards in 2006 and 2007. The results showed spraying humic acid increased the soluble solid content or sugar/acid ratio, but the influence of humic acid on Wentan pomelo's quality was not significantly at different orchard in the same year. After improving fertilize use, effects of humic acid on soluble solid content and sugar/acid ratio was increased significantly in 2008. The result of humic acid's effect on Wentan pomelo might connect with the fertilized content in the orchard.
