Analysis on the Electrical Characteristics of Photovoltaic Solar Energy

The energy produced by wind and solar can be applied in the disaster areas of Taiwan, the crucial need to power the hazard monitor systems and equipments. This paper is part of a wind-solar energy hybrid system applied in the disaster areas, focused on analyses of the electrical characteristics of photovoltaic panel that was tested inside the laboratory. Experiments were carried out with a solar panel of 111(cm) x 502(cm) and 4 halogen bulbs, horizontally placed, varying the photovoltaic panel's angle with the vertical axis from 0°to 45°. The result shows that power obtained is greater when the radiation is perpendicular to the photovoltaic panel. Also, power increases as the distance decreases. It is suggested to be as a basis for further studying the hybrid system.
