STEAM暨經驗學習為基礎之創客教育課程發展與其學習成效之性別差異

Exploring Gender Difference in a STEM-Based Maker Curriculum

摘要


3D列印機、開源軟硬體以及創客運動,為技職教育帶來新的學習方向與內容。本研究以STEAM為基礎,結合Kolb經驗學習理論,發展一套循跡自走車創客課程。並進而以分別學科測驗與術科測驗,探討學習成效在性別上是否存在著差異。學科測驗則細分三種領域,包括Ardiono、3D列印、3D建模,術科測驗以循跡自走車是否成功完成循跡任務為測驗項目給分。根據本研究的結果得出,不論是男生或女生在學習工程性質課程並無顯著差異,因此在創客教育中,男生與女生皆有發揮的空間。未來希望擴展至其他科系進行科系間的探討。

3D printer, open resources and Maker movement have brought new learning content for technical and vocational education. This study explores whether gender differences exist in Maker curriculum achievement. Three comprehension tests are developed, including Arduino test, 3D printing test, and 3D modeling test. Technical test score is based on the performance of the Maker work, line-tracking autonomous car. According to the results, it is concluded that there is no significant difference between male and female students in all four tests. In the future, we would like to promote the curriculum to other domains for a better understand about gender difference in Maker education.
