Through using statistics, inductive reasoning and analysis in the images of dreams that frequently appear in Zhu-DunRu's "QiaoGe", and combining the relevant expositions of the widely-discussed 'Zhu-DunRu's Song poetry being divided into three main stages–early, middle and later' throughout the literature history, this article attempts to introduce a new concept, which is, it is very likely that we can take the frequent images of dreams in "QiaoGe" and their relevant connotations as the basics and principles of Zhu-DunRu's work throughout the three stages, far beyond the previous conclusion stating the differences between the three stages at a superficial level. This article intensively associates Zhu-DunRu's work throughout his early, middle and later stages with his principles, strongly emphasizing that the basics and the principles of his work are all the while the same. This will further help the understanding of the connotations of Zhu-DunRu's poetry.
