Taiwan is one of the most tectonically active regions with frequent earthquakes in the world. Observation data shows about three earthquakes with a magnitude greater than six each year. The view of earthquake prevention and mitigation implies that the probability of facing earthquake disasters is relatively high. Whether the industry can provide and develop appropriate services and products is a key to support that the ideas of disaster prevention and mitigation can be implemented. From the government's point of view, the formulation of laws and regulations ensures basic safety. The provision of basic hazard information can also gradually enable industry-government-related responses to be carried out. This article will introduce the potential seismic maps from the current government's announcement and then outline the knowledge and the future development and opportunity of related industries.
