新竹市客雅水資源回收中心建置對臺灣招潮蟹之影響研究

The Study of the Impact by Building the Water Recycling Center on the Habitat of "Uca formosensis" in Shang-Shan Wetland of Hsin-Chu City

摘要


「客雅水資源回收中心」的設置,其目的在處理新竹市的家庭污水,以改善客雅溪的水質。但該中心基地位於新竹濱海濕地,此處為臺灣特有種「台灣招潮蟹」的重要棲地,此舉勢必造成該灘地之嚴重生態影響。本研究目的在於了解工程施工前後台灣招潮蟹族群密度時空分佈變化,並研析台灣招潮蟹族群密度與各環境因子之相關性。結果如下:(1)台灣招潮蟹密度與土壤中之黏土含量比例、砂土含量比例及棲地的淹水時間比例具有顯著的相關性。(2)經逐步回歸分析,顯示影響台灣招潮蟹族群密度之環境因子,首推棲地的淹水時間比例、其次為植被覆蓋比例、再其次為黏土比例。(3)「客雅水資源回收中心」的建置過程,因圍堤改變棲地的淹水時間比例及食物的補充、基地填土則改變棲地泥砂含量比例,終導致該棲地台灣招潮蟹的全部死亡。(4)5年後(2012)台灣招潮蟹族群密度明顯下降,並外移至基地的外圍。

The Ko-Ya water recycling center was built in April 2006 for preventing the water pollution from the waste of the residents of Hsin Chu city. The center located in the important habitat of "Uca formosensis" that is a native species can only be found in Taiwan. The impact on "Uca formosensis" was evaluated in this study by assessing the population density during the set up of the center and incorporating the environmental investigated data. The correlation analysis and the stepwise regression analysis were applied to find the the correlation and the impact of the related environmental facotrs on the population density of "Uca formosensis". It was investigated to seek for the optimum strategy for recovering the species. Results show that the environmental factors, the immersing time of seawater, the proportion of clay and sand, were significantly correlated with the population density of "Uca formosensis". The results of the stepwise regression showed that the order of the importance of the environmental factors were the immersing time of seawater, the coverage rate of the vegetation, and the proportion of clay . The new built jetty for the center changed the immersing time of seawater and prevented from the food supply for the crabs. The stock up of the soil for the foundation of the center changed the proportion of the soil and clay. Therefore the above engineerings that resulted to the extinction of "Uca formosensis" in this habitat.
