An Empirical Study of an Interactive Multimedia Learning Approach on the Web

網路互動學習影像系統的研究

摘要


本研究旨在結合了多媒體的特性與技術,來發展一互動式學習影像系統(interactive learning video, ILV),以幫助學生提升其學習成效與動機。124位科技大學的大一新生透過不同的上課教材呈現方式來分成三組以參與本研究;經由前測、後測與保留測驗等三種測驗與問卷來檢測參與者的學習成效與動機。結果顯示,ILV組的學習者在後測與保留測驗的成績方面比其他兩組來的得分較高。且在動機問卷的結果顯示ILV組的學習者也比其他兩組有較正向的態度。經由本研究實驗證明,互動式學習影像系統可以有效地提學習者的學習成效和增強其學習動機。

This study proposed an interactive learning video (ILV) on the web which integrated multimedia features and technologies to promote the learning effectiveness and motivation. An empirical study was conducted to examine the effects of the ILV by comparing three different types of presentation with 124 freshmen who would be divided into three groups from a university of technology in Taiwan. Three different tests and one questionnaire were conducted to assess the student learning achievement and motivation. The test results showed that the ILV group had significantly better grades in post-test and retention test than those of two groups. And the questionnaire results revealed that the ILV group also had more positive attitudes in learning motivation. All findings collectively demonstrated that the ILV could benefit to enhance student learning achievement and promote their motivation.
