摘要


著者所分離三十五株放射狀菌中,以由新竹縣關西鎮雞舍稻草所分離之007號放射狀菌較具工業上之利用價值。此菌對格氏陽性(Gram positive)細菌之抑制力強,對於格式陰性(Gram negative)細菌則弱。糖化力強,無Tyrosinase之生成,對於硝酸鹽無還原力。為一種好氣性菌,以32℃及pH7.2最適於生長,其氣生菌絲帶白色,由形態及生理上之特徵觀察,此菌與Streptomyces fimicarius極相似,故著者等認為此菌可能屬於Streptomyces fimicarius同一種。此葡萄糖為碳源,而以大豆粉為氮源時,此菌能生成多量抗生素。其最適於抗生素生產之培養基組成為:葡萄糖:2.0%;大豆粉:1.0%;碳酸鈣:0.2%;食鹽:0.5%。

The actinomycetes, No. 007, was isolated from a hen house's straw of Kuan-Sei Chung (a town in Hsin-Chu Hsien). The culture filtrate of this organism can strongly inhibit the growth of Gram positive bacteria, and inhibit somehow the growth of Gram negative bacteria. It is observed to be an aerobe. It possesses strong amylase activity, but neither nitrate reductase activity nor tyrosinase activity was detected. Its Growth optimum was found to be at 32 ℃and pH 7. 2. The aerial mycelium appears whitish in color. The physiological and morphological characteristics of this strain are very similar to thos e of Streptomyces fimicarius, and is therefore considered to be belong to the same species. It can produce rather large amount of antibiotics when glucose is used as carbon source and soybean meal or meat extract as nitrogen source. The optimum medium for antibiotics production was found to be as follow: Glucose: 2.0 %, Soybean meal: 1 .0 %, CaCO_3: 0.2 %, NaCl: 0.5 %.
