摘要


採用95%乙醇爲溶劑,測定甲苯的紫外光吸收光譜。其主要尖峯在262.0及268.5 mμ,但用異辛烷爲溶劑可測得之一些小尖峯均消失或變爲不明顯。使用同一溶劑,在262.0、268.5、254.5及247.0 mμ下、測定甲苯的吸光係數,其結果適合Beer法則。由此等結果出甲苯的計算式及苯-甲苯的計算式。並用合成試樣加以校驗結果,對甲苯試樣,測定値的平均誤差是0.9%、對苯-甲苯混合試樣測定值之平均誤差爲苯1.3%及甲苯0.5%。此報告是甲苯試樣及苯-甲苯混合試樣的紫外光譜分析結果。所使用的裝置、溶劑及符號均與第一報相同。標準苯及甲苯是美國Philips Chemicals公司出品,光學級藥品。

The ultraviolet absorption spectra of toluene in 95% ethanol were determined. The result was almost the same as that reported by other workers in iso-octane. Peaks occurred at wave lengths of 262.0 and 268.5 mμ in either solvents, but some small peaks disappeared in the former. The relation between concentration and absorbance conformed to the Beer's law. From the absorption coefficient determined a formula relating the absorbance and the concentration of toluene was derived. When cheked with the synthetic samples, the mean error of toluene concentration calculated with this formula was 0.9%. The other two formulas expressing the absorbances and each concentration of benzene and toluene in mixture were also derived. The mean error of benzene and toluene concentrations calculated with these formulas were 1.3 and 0.5%, respectively.
