摘要


本研究係利用靈敏度極高之熱鎢絲彈簧天秤,使各種常用高分子聚合物在氧氣中、氮氣中、真空中,以每小時升25℃之定速加熱下,測定其減量,所得結果相互作比較研究,並擇取四種常用者測定其劣變前後聚合度之變化,以研討高分子聚合物化學結構與劣變作用間之關係。試樣包括塑膠、樹脂、人造纖維等類共計19類25種。

The initial weight loss of high polymers by heating under constant rate of 25°C/hr in the atmosphere of oxygen, nitrogen, or vacuum was measured with thermal tungsten balance. Twenty five samples including plastics, resins, and synthetic fibres were tested. The heating loss, i. e., volatile matter or low molecular weight polymer involved in sample, and the initial degradation were measured in details. All the results were studied in comparison with each other. The apparatus was consisted of a very sensitive tungsten spring balance inclosed in a Pyrex housing which could be evacuated to a high vacuum. Sensitivity of the spring was 474.4 μ/mg.
