兩價銪化合物之合成與化學分離

摘要


利用稀土金屬離子中銪(Eu)具有穩定的兩價離子,以及二氯化銪(EuCl_2)在乙醇中,硫酸銪(EuSO_4)在水中之低溶解度特性,可以迅速有效的將銪離子從其他稀土金屬離子中分離出來。兩價銪離子在氨水溶液中與8-氫氧喹啉-5-磺酸可產生沈澱。利用此特性,亦可以在8-氫氧喹啉-5-磺酸溶液中,將三價銪還原而與其他稀土金屬離子分離。

A method of sharp separation of Europium ion from other rare earth ions was developed on the basis of stable Eu (II) ion and the character of low solubility of EuCl_2 in ethanol and EuSO_4 in water. We also found that Eu(II) ion formed a quantitative precipitation with 8 - hydroxyl-quinoline - 5-sulfonic acid in ammoniacal solution. It suggested a possibility of the separation of europium from other rare earths by reduction of Eu (III) ion in the 8-hydroxyquinoline-5-sulfonic acid solution.
