Studies on the Methylation Reaction of Phenol Using HZSM-5 as Catalyst

摘要


本文是以HZSM-5,Y型沸石(HY)及絲光沸石(HM)為觸媒進行酚和甲醇生成甲酚的催化反應研究。在634°K反應70分鐘後主要的產物為甲基苯基醚和鄰位及對位甲酚。HZSM-5為觸媒時甲酚的產率隨反應溫度昇高而增加。進料中甲醇與酚的莫耳比由2降至1時甲酚之產率增加。酚的轉化率隨HZSM-5中的矽鋁比增高而降低。HY型沸石的活性高於HZSM-5。絲光沸石的活性最差。未經改良之HZSM-5對於對位甲酚並未有特殊之選擇性。以快速鈉離子交換法改良HZSM-5也未增進對位甲酚的選擇性。

The methylation reaction of phenol with methanol was performed with HZSM-5, Y. type zeolite and mordenite as catalyst. At 634°K the main products of reaction after 70 minutes are anisole, o-cresol and p-cresol. When HZSM-5 was used as catalyst, the yield of cresol increases with temperature and phenol to methanol ratio (0.5 to 1). Phenol conversion decreases with Al to Si ratio in HZSM-5. The trend of activity are: HY>HZSM-5>HM. Unmodified HZSM-5 is not especially selective for p-cresol. Exchange HZSM-5 with sodium ion for ten and twenty minutes does not improve the selectivity.
