摘要
分析儀器之自動化幾乎已是一種潮流，其背後的原因是低價位高功能的積體電路及微電腦不斷地推陳出新。此外，市場的需求也是主要的原因，實驗室為了減輕工作的壓力及降低成本，不得不採用自動化的儀器。而自動化所帶來的精密分析數據，也使實驗室對分析品質的要求更易掌握。本文對某些自動化分析儀的組件及其控制系統作一大略的介紹，希望藉此讓讀者對自動化儀器有一初步的認識。文中並談及實驗室自動化在管理上的問題以及較「自動化」更深一層的「智慧化」。

Laboratory automation has come of age, its momentum is largely attributable to the untiring innovations of inexpensive but highly performance ICs and microcomputers. The market demand is also a major factor: a great number of laboratories consider automation or buying automated instruments because of the pressures from the work load and the lab running cost. Better precision of analytical results derived from automation is advantageous in consideration of OA/QC performance. In the text follows, examples of automated instruments and their modules along with controlling systems are introduced to give the readers a general picture. The automation derived issues in management and machine intelligence will also be touched upon.
