摘要


質譜分析的方法中,電子撞擊法可用於分析高穩定性的碳簇化合物。快速原子撞擊法與化學揮離法則是較軟的方法,但是對於熱不穩定的碳簇化合物,卻仍然不盡理想。積極發展中的電灑法是比傳統方法更軟的游離方法,雖然對於碳簇的分析,仍有若干的困難有待克服,但是可以預期的,電灑法未來將廣泛使用於碳簇衍生物的分析。

Since the discovery of fullerene as the third allotrope of carbon, fullerene and their derivatives have been one of the major focus in academic research and industrial applications. The ability of producing macroscopic amounts of fullerenes has given the impetus to the synthesis of novel fullerene derivatives for fundamental studies as well as industrial applications. Mass spectrometry has played a key role in fullerene chemistry and indeed in its discovery. Electron impact, desorption chemical ionization, and fast atom bombardment were the three most common techniques used in the mass spectrometric analysis of fullerene derivatives. Electron impact was useful in the analysis of thermally stable fullerenes whereas fast atom bombardment and desorption chemical ionization were better choice for the analysis of thermally unstable fullerene derivatives. Many reports showed that fast atom bombardment and desorption chemical ionization were not soft enough for fullerene derivatives. Electrospray appeared to be the most potential method for the analysis of these highly labile fullerene derivatives.
