摘要

The reaction of C_(60) with low concentration ozone in solution results in the formation of C_(60)O. Under laser desorption ionization conditions, this monoxide behaves differently from other mass spectrometric studies. While most fullerene derivatives yield even-numbered dauthter ions upon fragmentation, we observed mainly odd-numbered fragment ions in our laser desorption ionization study. A possible formation mechanism for C_(60)O is proposed.
