紙床毛細滲透分離水中膠體

Separation of Colloids by Capillary Permeation in Paper

摘要


以紙為毛細滲透介質應用靜電吸引力和多次分配原理分離水中膠體。實驗方法是在空氣隔絕空間內膠體溶液以毛細作用力從紙床一端滲入而於另一端流出而被搜集。十一種不同化學組成膠體溶液被試驗,流出液之濁度均較進流液低。膠體沉著紙床上。最佳去除效果是> 20 NTU之膠體溶液被降低至0.0 NTU。pH、膠體配製劑量和紙床長度都會影響流出液之濁度。23.5 X 13cm^2床之流出液濁度低過批式紙吸附、紙過濾、高速離心(16 X 10^3 rpm) 和0.2μm孔徑薄膜過濾(濁度0.0NTU者相同)。除膠體分離應用外,本技術也訐在環境或化學膠體溶液中溶解成份分析之前處理(除去膠體)有應用價值。

Principles of electrostatic attraction and multi partition between two phases were applied for remov ing colloidal particles from aqueous solutions by permeating them into paper structure. Experimentally, the whole permeation process was conducted in an airtight closed space. Eleven colloidal solutions of various chemical compositions were tested. The turbidities in the effluents were found to be lower than the incident ones. Colored band formed on paper. The lowest residual turbidity of 0.0 NTU was attained from some >20 NTU samples. pH, dosage and length were found to influence the effluent turbidities. With paper of 23 .5 X 13 cm^2, the effluent turbidities were lower than those obtained with one batch paper adsorption, paper filtration, high speed centrifuge (16 x 10^3 rpm) and microfiltration (pore size 0.2 μm). Except for application in colloid separation, the technique may be probably appli cable in the pretreatment for colloid removal before analysis of dissolved analyte in aqueous colloidal samples, that was traditionally done by chemical coagulation.
