呼拉扭轉光異構化機構

Hula-Twist Photoisomerization

摘要


由夏威夷大學劉繩熙教授在1985年首先提出的「劉氏光異構化機構」,又稱為「呼拉扭轉」,此種光異構化機構與傳統的光異構化機構有所不同,比較能夠在擁擠的小空間內進行光異構化反應,這種「劉氏光異構化機構」除了適用於被蛋白質所包圍的視紫醇(retinol)大分子外也適用於低溫下進行光異構化反應之有機分子。

Hula-twist photoisomerization which involves the simultaneous configurational isomerization of a double bond and conformational isomerization of an adjacent single bond. The mechanism is shown not only suitable for the retinyl chromophore of the visual pigment rhodopsin but also for the photoisomerization involving organic compounds under confined conditions such as low-temperature matrix system or highly steric strain systems.
