It is found that cage-like Co(III) complexes, Co(tpen)^(3+) and Co(tptn)^(3+), can undergo photocatalytical reactions with methanol and isopropanol to form formaldehyde and acetone, respectively. The quantum yields were found to be between 10^(-2) to 10^(-3).
