摘要


聚合物材料在人類生活中是不可或缺的,而且隨著我們需求的多元化與精細化,對於材料特性的要求也更廣泛。自由基聚合法是目前工業生產聚合物技術上最被廣泛採用的技術之一,然而傳統自由基聚合法無法滿足對材料多樣且精準控制的要求。可逆加成-斷裂鏈轉移 (RAFT) 聚合反應可調控決定聚合物材料化、物性本質的微結構。透過對特定單體來選擇精確的RAFT 試劑可成功製備具有均一性、特定功能性與經設計架構的聚合/共聚物。本文將介紹基本的RAFT 概念以及此技術在半導體、光電、生物相關和流體材料領域的應用。

Polymeric materials are indispensable for human life, and the range of their properties is keeping more extensive to meet our diverse and delicate need. Radical polymerization is one of the most popular industrial polymerization technologies, however, the traditional radical method fails the precision and variety control of the product. Reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) radical polymerization is able to control the microstructure of polymeric materials, which determines their chemical and physical nature. Well-defined polymers/copolymers with uniformity, specific functionality, and designed architecture can be successfully prepared by accurate selection of the RAFT agent for particular monomers. In this Review, the basic idea of RAFT and its application to the field of semiconductor, optoelectronic, bio-related, as well as fluidic materials will be introduced.
