SEI生成添加劑於離子液體電解質電位窗的影響

Effects of SEI Formation Additives on the Electrochemical Potential Window of Ionic Liquid Electrolyte

摘要


離子液體電解質因其本質上具有寬廣的電位窗、優良的離子導電度、熱穩定性以及不易燃性,被視為高安全性、可替代傳統揮發性有機溶劑之綠色電解質,有潛力應用於未來大型儲能系統。本研究藉由在離子液體系統中,測試各種SEI(solid-electrolyte interface)生成添加劑,找出於負極石墨表面上,優化之SEI膜,達成擴大電位窗的目的。以三極式電極分析負極之電化學行為,實驗結果顯示,於AlCl_3/EMIC(1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride)電解質中添加1% VC(vinylene carbonate),有助於減少成膜反應之化成時間,同時可達到擴增還原極限電位、擴大操作電位窗的功效。

Based on the intrinsic properties of wide electrochemical potential window, good ionic conductivity, high thermal stability and non-flammability, ionic liquid (IL) electrolytes are considered as safe, green and alternative electrolytes for future large-scale energy storage applications. This study demonstrates that IL-derived SEI (solid-electrolyte interface) can be modified by specific additives and proper SEI layer on graphite anode is necessary to improve the electrochemical performance (such as wider potential window). A three-electrode cell is employed for the anodic analysis and has shown a shorter formation time and wider electrochemical potential window in the AlCl_3/EMIC (1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride) electrolyte system by adding 1% VC (vinylene carbonate).
