Mainly using textual analysis method, together with historical research approach, the paper intends to study the relationship between the largest school in the later years of Ming Dynasty, Yangming School, and Lingyin Temple and the monks of the temple. As found in the paper, the founder of Yangming School, Wang Yang-Ming had his own official pupils, Dong Yun of Zhezhong Wangmen and Huang Sheng-Zeng of Nanzhong Wangmen, who both passed on to their pupils, Zhang Yuan-Bian of Zhezhong Wangmen and Deng Yi-Zan of Jiangyou Wangmen. The third-generation pupils were Tao Wang-Ling and Tao Shi-Ling of Taizhou Wangmen. All of them once personally visited, dined and lodged at Lingyin Temple successively or together with their companies. They had tea time with the monks there, discussed with them the Buddhist scriptures and the interesting Zen contents, and wrote down many poems and articles. These poems and article were what they observed from Lingyin Temple and how they felt about Lingyin Temple. Their words mainly expressed their feelings. Some of them depicted the beauty of landscape, and some presented their worries about the country and the civilians. All these works were extremely meaningful.
