In this article, on the basis of the case, "The Street Community as Classroom: A Case for General Education Innovation and Practices (Hsiao, 2018B)", the author explores the course of "Commercial Aesthetics and Culture Creation Art: Local Culture and City Culture Creation B" (henceforth abbreviated to "Local Culture and City Culture Creation B"). The paper focuses mainly on discussing how the six weeks of field classes between Week 5 and Week 11 (excluding the mid-term exam in the 9th week): (1) led students to connect with the local community through teaching plans and material designs, (2) generated practical projects for the end of the semester, and (3) eventually achieved the goal of taking social responsibility, as assigned by the Higher Education Project.
