Primary Discussion on University Campus Landscape Ecological Design about "Non-Design"

Nowadays, with urban expansion and continuously deteriorated global environment, the development of garden landscape design, as a means of transforming and optimizing environment, has extremely important significance. In the development of modern and contemporary landscape design, the continuous attention is paid to ecological problem, and the land utilization and humanistic care play an important role. Under the big trend of ecological design, the continuous updating and progress are made in landscape design in terms of environmental protection materials, ecological technology, and animal and plant protection, etc. Meanwhile, affected by aesthetic orientation of modern landscape design, the ecological landscape design steps into integration on design of form and content and essential spirit: the landscape design methods and language tend to be “non-design” design due to unconscious influence of ecological ideas, which shows new aesthetic trend of modern landscape. As a special part of urban planning, the university campus landscape planning highlights the unique appeal for ecology and humanity in terms of planning and design of urban ecological sensitive area. This paper will set university campus as a carrier of ecological aesthetic design of 〞seeing whole part through small part〞, combine ecological aesthetic theory with ecological design to carry out research, carry out systematic summary and research on application of ecological aesthetic theory into ecological artistic design of landscape, and explore essential connotation and aesthetic appreciation of ecological landscape design on artistic and technical level for the purpose of attempting to provide reference to study on ecological design methods of university campus landscape and artistic aesthetic design evaluation system.
