The purpose of this study was to discuss the core determinants, those of knowledge, attitude and behavior on foot care among the diabetic patients and to explore influencing factors. The sample for this study consisted of 91 diabetic patients from two teaching hospitals, using a purposive (purpose based criterion) sampling methodology. A structured questionnaire was designed by the investigator. The result shows the knowledge on foot care was significant different. The attitude for foot care was positive, however, daily foot examination and strategies of solving diabetic foot problem were negative. The behaviors within diabetic foot care were misconceived such as daily foot examination and footwear. The investigator has found the samples' behaviors within diabetic foot care are positively related to the variables of knowledge and attitude. It is anticipated that the recommendations made in this study will raise the awareness of health department, health organization and nursing education about diabetic foot care.
