台灣中部地區某校護理教師及應屆畢業護生靈性需求初探

A Study of the Spiritual Needs of Nursing Teachers and Graduating Nursing Students in a Institute of Technology in Central Taiwan

摘要


本研究係利用自擬的靈性需求量表,探討中部某校護理教師及民國86年應屆畢業護生之靈性需求,及影響靈性需求之相關因素。共發出問卷400份,回收之有效問卷393份,有效回收率為98.25%。研究結果發現: (1) 有半數以上之師生(>53.8% )均呈現有靈性需求之狀況,並希望能有相關靈性專業團體或課程協助他們,以促進師生靈性需求之滿足;(2) 大多數師生(>93.5%)未曾在病患照顧上設立過相關靈性層面問題的處理,最主要原因是了解其重要性,但確實不清楚如何做起;(3) 祈求、信物、有個人信念、對神的信賴及感受神的愛等5項靈性需求,師生均呈現可得到較多靈性的滿足; (4)在宗教信仰、愛與被愛、活著的目的、死亡的意義及生命的目標等5項變項與靈性需求間有顯著差異,其餘個人屬性無顯著差異。本研究結果建議未來臨床之靈性護理研究,並提供護理教育課程設計及靈性照護之參考。

The purpose of this study was to explore the spiritual needs and related factors among nursing teachers and graduating nursing students in 1997 in a institute of technology in central Taiwan. The Spiritual Needs Scale (SNC) , which was developed by the researchers ,was used to assess the spiritual needs of nursing teachers and students. Four hundred structured questionnaires were sent out with a return rate of 98.25% (N=393). The major findings of this study were as follows: (1) Most of the nursing teachers and students (>53.8%) had the problems of spiritual needs. They also hope some professional spiritual curriculum or organizations be set for assisting to achieve their spiritual satisfaction and promote the ability in caring patients' spiritual health .(2) Most of the nursing teachers and students (>93.5%) had no experience in caring patients' spiritual health .The cause was that they completely had no idea how to do it, but they thought this was very important to care the patients' spiritual health .(3) Nursing teachers and students got more spiritual satisfaction by "praying"、"having the belief materials"、"one's faith to do what's right " and "having faith to Supreme Being and feeling to have the Supreme Beings' love . (4) The spiritual needs of nursing teachers and students was significantly related to their religions beliefs 、love and belongingness 、the meaning of living and , dying , and life goals . The results of this study have provided sereval important implications for nursing education , as well as directions for furture studies.
