The respondents of this research are consumers of Yaoshan (refined medical cuisine) restaurants in Taichung city. The purpose of this research is to identify the differences among consumers from different backgrounds; their perception on Yaoshan knowlegde, and this survey is conducted by questionnaires. The data we collected were analyzed by means of frequency distribution, one-way ANOVA etc. According to the data obtained, it can be concluded that most of our respondents are females in terms of gender, "31-40 years" old in terms of age group, "university" in terms of academic background, "single" in terms of family life cycle, and 30,001-50,000NT. in terms of monthly salary. Among the Yaoshan knowledge questions asked, 61.2 % of them were correct. From the research with regard to the correlation between perception on Yaoshan and demographic variables, regarding to the perception of Yaoshan knowledge variables, there is significant difference between respondents gender, age, educational level, and also occupation.
