The purpose of this report is to present the nursing experience of a patient with non-hodgkin's lymphoma in terminal stage who had physical distress, psychological anxiety, and caregiver role strain in chemotherapy period. During the period of care, the author assessed the patient's condition through physical, psychological, social, development, and spiritual divisions. Data was collected by direct care, observation, and interview. The main problems of case report are: 1. altered oral mucose membrane. 2. altered nutrition. 3. fear. 4. caregiver role strain. In this period we established a therapeutic relationship with patient and family by sincere, caring, empathy, firm attitude, and provide medical treatment information to help to solve symptom distresses and improve positive attitude toward during the chemotherapy. The patient was also better able to adapt to his illness and to improve quality of life.
