測定化妝品常用二十種精油清除ABTS自由基之能力及分析丁香精油及紅百里香精油主要化學成分之研究

Investigation of Twenty Kinds of Commercial Cosmetic Essential Oils in ABTS Free Radical Scavenging Ability and Analysis the Major Chemical Components of Clove Bud and Thyme Red Essential Oil

摘要


本研究主要為分析化妝品常用之二十種精油對於清除ABTS自由基(2,2'-azino-bis〔3-ethylbenz thiazoline-6-sulphonic acid〕)與其主要之化學成分之分析。結果顯示二十種試驗樣品中以丁香精油(Clove bud essential oil)與紅百里香精油(Thyme red essential oil)清除ABTS自由基之能力最為顯著。當丁香精油與紅百里香精油樣品濃度為1mg/mL時,分別能清除96.33%及95.98%之ABTS自由基,半數有效抑制濃度(EC_(50))分別為10μg/mL及18μg/mL,以氣相層析質譜儀鑑定其主要之化學成分,發現丁香精油中含有82.32%的丁香酚(Eugenol),而紅百里香精油含有63.665%的百里香酚(Thymol)。綜合以上之結果,證明精油中酚類化合物的含量與清除ABTS自由基之抗氧化能力成正相關係。

Twenty kinds of commonly used essential oils were employed to investigate the ABTS free radical (2,2'-azino-bis [ 3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulphonic acid ] ) scavenging ability and analysis of the major chemical compositions. The free radical scavenging ability of Clove bud and Thyme red are the best two in these essential oils. 1mg/mL of Clove bud essential oil and Thyme red essential oil were shown 96.33% and 95.98% of the ABTS free radical scavenging ability respectively. Their EC_(50) are 10μg/mL and 18μ g/mL. 82.32% of eugenol in Clove bud essential oil and 64.25% of thymol in Thyme red essential oil were analyzed by GC-MS. It is clear that the phenol compounds in essential oils and the ABTS free radical scavenging ability is in direct proportion.
