The study on the developmental strategies for student organizations in Taiwan technological and vocational colleges: analysis based on student cadres’ perspectives

Technological and vocational colleges are the most skill and practical experience-oriented higher education institutes in Taiwan, and had already contributed significantly to Taiwan’s economical miracles in the past. For the ideal of holistic education and for those students’ adaptation of career life, technological and vocational colleges should emphasize more on the developmental strategies of student organizations. The study was preceded with questionnaires surveyed to 585 student organization cadres from vocational and technological colleges, and was focused on the developmental strategies for student organizations in those colleges. The results revealed that the school planning was the most important on the global strategies, and college students’ interpersonal communication and virtues were the most important on the capability development strategies. More detailed and contingent strategies were provided.
