Tourist Street-Food Consumption Behavior-an Implication of the Theory of Planned Behavior

This study aims to investigate foreigners' behavior intention toward Taiwan street food based on theory of planned behavior. Theory of Planned Behavior (Ajzen, 1991) proposes that individuals' behavioral intention affected by their attitude, subject norm, and perceived behavioral control. This study adopted a quantitative research method using questionnaires to collect data from foreign students studying Chinese in central Taiwan. Descriptive statistics, reliability analysis and regression analysis were employed to analyze data. The results indicated that, expect the hygiene and health factor, foreigners generally think Taiwan street food is good, and the perceived behavioral control and attitude positively affect behavioral intention. Based on these significant findings, theoretical and practical implications are discussed.
