孤山智圓《金剛錍顯性錄》中的山外主張─色不具三千

摘要


「色不具三千」是宋代天臺宗山外派大師智圓的重要主張,與山家派知禮所主張的「色具三千」,正好針鋒相對。山家和山外,不管是在心性論或止觀的觀法上,都有顯著的差異;這些差異也在理據上支持了兩派之「色具三千」和「色不具三千」的立論。智圓的「色不具三千」,過去少有人做深入的研究。本文旨在探討智圓這一思想的具體內容,及其背後所依據之心性論和觀法。

Master Zhiyuan of the Song dynasty Off-Mountain school holds the position that "Rupa does not contain the three thousand." This is in opposition to the Mountain school's position as held by Zhili, that "Rupa contains the three thousand." These two schools have obvious differences in their theories of nature of mind and methods of contemplation; those differences also support their respective positions of rupa containing or not containing the three thousand. So far, Zhiyuan's position that rupa does not contain the three thousand has not been researched in depth. The focus of this article lies in discussing the specific contents of Zhiyuan's idea, as well as the underlying support on which it depends: the theory of nature of mind and method of contemplation.
