Feng, Mon-lung in late Ming Dynasty wrote a book entitled "San Giao Oh Tien" by integrating Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. The representative writing from Confucianism is "Huang Ming Da Ru Wang Yang-ming Chu Shen Gin Luan Ru." It is a legendary novel based on "Wang Wen Chen Gon Nian Pu." Nian Pu (a chronicle of a person's life) belongs to historic information while a novel is a kind of artistic creation. As an outstanding novelist, Feng, Mon-lung combined three elements into the novel: more substantiation and less emptiness, less emptiness and more substantiation, and sheer fabrication. We can not only observe how Feng Mon-lung handled real events and unreal art so as to demonstrate his view of novel from "San Yan" but also understand its deep impact on the trend of thought regarding mind studies in the Ming Dynasty. Therefore, as related examples given from the novel, the theory of novel and trend of thought in Ming Dynasty is thus clearly presented.
