科學博物館落實環境教育之推動策略-以國立科學工藝博物館為例

Developing an Environmental Education Strategy for Science Museums: A Case Study of the National Science and Technology Museum

摘要


現今由於全球的暖化,保護地球資源成為當前社會的重要課題,全民正積極實踐節能減碳新生活,策動永續發展綠行動。科學博物館在擁有科技資源和場域的絕佳優勢下,應整併各方資源,重視環境保護議題,推動「環境教育」,落實社教機構功能,達到「節能低碳社會」的願景。位於臺灣南部高雄的國立科學工藝博物館,為國內第一個以「生活科技化、科技生活化」綠博物館為組織願景的博物館。本研究探討該館2010 年推動環境教育的作法,主要在於建構完整推動模式,由「環境政策與管理」、「建築與環境管理」、「宣導與推廣活動」、「環保生活實踐」四大面向著手。最後,經由整體成效分析,據以提出相關建議做為後續推動參考。

Due to the global warming crisis, protection of Earth's resources has become an important social issue and people are actively working to reduce their carbon footprints. As part of their social education function, science museums possess scientific and technological resources and venues. These should be integrated to promote environmental education and to achieve the vision of a "low-carbon society". The National Science and Technology Museum (NSTM), located in southern Taiwan, serves as a case to explore this process. NSTM designed its environmental education model and practices based on four dimensions: environmental policy and management, architectural and environmental management, advocacy and promotion, and green lifestyle implementation. Following an analysis of the results, some strategies are suggested for future implementation of environmental education programs in science museums.
