地方博物館與體驗活動-布袋洲南鹽場文化活動之劇場分析

Local Museums and Experiential Activities: A Theatrical Analysis of Cultural Activities at Budai-Zhounan Salt Field

摘要


近年來關於地方博物館體驗活動之探討,多以觀光行銷與滿意度作為研究標的,忽略了一系列活動規劃與實踐過程的分析。文化活動的體驗模式,是一連串空間與行為的戲劇性演出,其中有負責規劃管理的導演(文化工程師)、有負責場地與活動的表演者以及參與體驗活動的參訪者,三者間交互所形成的動態過程,是本研究所關注的焦點。本文以布袋洲南文化鹽田的體驗活動為研究個案,運用參與觀察、參與實做及訪談的質化研究方法。本研究結果發現,文化工程師是符號操作的魔法師,擅長運用抽離自原有文化脈絡的元素,用於塑造情境、改編成創意活動;老鹽工則是從日常生活的勤苦經驗中淬鍊出來的實用主義者。在兩者的交遇過程中,文化工程師從符號雲端逐步落實到實做的地面,在老鹽工的心中則萌芽了稚嫩的文化想像。參觀者的參與體驗及反思,回饋給文化工程師與老鹽工,讓體驗活動跳脫出類標準化的模式,成為動態的創意過程。

Recently, studies on experiential activities offered by local museums have mostly focused on tourism marketing and level of satisfaction, while neglecting analysis of experiential activity planning and implementation processes. The experiential mode of cultural activities can be regarded as a theatrical performance in which the director (cultural engineer), the performers and the participants interact with one another. This dynamic process of interaction forms the focus of this study. Field research was conducted at the Budai-Zhounan Salt Field and involved participative observation and qualitative interviews. From the results of our study, cultural engineers make use of cultural symbols and elements to develop an experiential atmosphere and creative activities. On the contrary, salt workers have a more pragmatic view due to their long years of hard work. During encounters between the cultural engineers and salt workers, the cultural engineers learn skills and knowledge that they apply in a practical way, whereas the salt workers see the possibility for cultural imagination. Visitors create a feedback loop, providing information to cultural engineers and salt workers, allowing experiential activities to break through the quasi-SOP mode to become a dynamic creative process.
