The notion social structure is the primary focus while social anthropologists are engaged in ethnographies, since Evans-Pritchard has established an analytical model in "The Nuer". Does the social structure is to reveal the native conception about their society, as well as the primordial value which guides the orientation of their social practice? In the analysis of The History and Politics of Tsou "by Wang, I will discuss that the essence of the social structure derived from their political institution, and that the cultural value entails the social structure for the natives to resopnd to the exterior dominate power, embodied as a significant historical event, Feburary 28th, 1947.1 propose that the concept savoir(knowledge/knowing) will make the understanding of Tsou toward the historical event more clear. Moreover, I argue that Wang's interpretation on the historical event seems to discuss how the native knowledge forms their unique understanding and responding toward the power of the state, in addition to relating it only to the cultural value which the keyword peongsi implies.
