酸前處理稻草木糖水解液生產乳酸之研究

Study on Lactic Acid Production from Xylose Hydrolysate of Acid-Treated Rice Straw

摘要


木質纖維素全糖利用轉換為乳酸是具有商業化潛力的方式,其中木糖為一種具吸引 力生產乳酸的糖質來源•本研究目的係篩選木糖轉化乳酸生產菌株及建立木糖轉乳酸程 序。木糖代謝菌株Lactobacillus brevis RSH2由本所小型酒精試驗工廠水解發酵液篩選得到,L.bervis以瓶杯規模發酵經毒化木糖水解液可得乳酸轉化率為84%,當放大至5L發酵槽乳酸轉化率可提升至90 % 。另外,L. brevis如為一種共發酵菌株,於木糖水解液中進行木糖和葡萄糖共發酵,可得到乳酸濃度為36g/L,其轉化率為77% 。因此,Lactobacillus brevis是可應用於酸水解稻稈木糖水解液產製程之乳酸生產菌株,亦可應用於共發酵程序。

Utilizing all forms o f sugars derived from lignocellulosic biomass is a commercially potential way to produce lactic acid. Xylose is an attractive carbohydrate to produce lactic acid. This study was aimed to develop lactic acid production from xylose by isolated strain. Lactobacillus brevis is isolated from ethanol broth from fermenting the hydrolysate o f dilute acid-pretreated rice straw o f the mini-pilot plant used for cellulosic ethanol production at INER. L. brevis produced lactic acid from detoxified hydrolysates with a yield o f 84% at lab scale and then lactic acid fermentation at 5L-scale fermenter could improve yield around 90%. For cofermentation of xylose and glucose in hydrolysate, L. brevis shows a total sugar yield o f 77 % with lactic acid concentration 36 g/L. Therefore, L. brevis is a practical strain for lactic acid from xylose hydrolysates and production under co-fermentation process.
