「基督教文化」概念的內涵及其漢語神學意義－神學論題引介

As a term used frequently in Christian studies in the modem era ＂Christian Culture＂ is still ill-defined. The prevailing concept of ＂Christian Culture＂ is a general term for related phenomena of Christianity, but it is lack of accurate reference. The term ＂Christianity＂ became the adjective of ＂culture＂ in the sense of humanism so that it lost the essence of Christianity. The essence of Christian culture should be Culture from Christ. The essence of Christian culture was defined as the spirit of sanctification in the opposite direction of incarnation, so Christian culture could be described as humanist activities that were oriented by Christian faith. It belongs to the human beings, so the studies of Christian culture includes the interpretation of human science and the empirical demonstration of social science or natural science. The studies of Christian culture could not talk about God instead of theology, but it must re-think theology with modem academic methods and become the main route for the dialogue between theology and modem academic. Christian culture contained the character of modernity, or offered the internally spiritual form for modernity. The formless Christian culture in modernity was more important than the actual Christian culture. Christian culture was the necessary, medium for the communication between Christianity and Chinese culture in the traditional background of humanism, and it was the most important basic concept of Sino-Christian theology. As the necessary medium for the communication between Christianity and Chinese culture with the characters of humanism, Christian culture had manifold historical background. Christian culture and Sino-Christian theology are based on modernity. These three concepts not only are three keywords bounded logically, but also constitute an organic body in our society.
