Theology as theonome Systematik: On the Continuity of Paul Tillich's Theology

This article aims at firstly introducing Paul Tillich's early systematic vision from hi s The System of Sciences, in which different branches of human knowledge is well organized in a systematic framework. Theology is located in this general framework and regarded as one of the human sciences in particular. Secondly, the mapping of theology with the concept of science is closely related to Tillich's theology of culture and method of correlation. Lastly, this article argues that there are strong but subtle continuities between early Tillich's systematic vision and late Tillich's systematic theology.
