摘要

馬來西亞柔佛州巴冬漁村的潮汕人包括原籍揭陽，澄海與潮安。巴冬潮汕話經過百餘年的方言融合，形成了基本一致的共同聲調系統。其中最值得注意的是陰上調值的特殊變調方式，即在詞彙末字的陰上本調原本的兩種方言變體[21]與[53]融合而成條件變讀；前者在前字高降調或中升調之後出現，後者則在前字低降調或中平調之後出現。如此則形成連讀字組中的前後調值的異化現象。

The Teochew community in Parit Jawa fishing village of Johor Malaysia consists of descendants from Jieyang, Chenghai and Chaoan. Over more than a century of dialect mixing, the Teochew dialect of Parit Jawa developed a common dialectal tonal system. One unique characteristic of this tonal system is the tone sandhi of the Yin Shang tone. At the lexical level, Yin Shang tone being at the hind syllable will exhibit two different tonal values, that is, when the front syllable holds a high-declining or mid-rising tone it reads [21]; when the front syllable holds a low-declining or mid-levelling tone it reads [53]. As such, the end result is a dissimilation effect in its tone sandhi pattern.
