結合電腦輔助工具與中文部件分色策略於低視力學生識字學習之研究

摘要


閱讀是各種學習的基石,而識字能力又為閱讀的基礎。低視力學生因為視覺的先天限制,使其在識字能力遇到較大的阻礙及挫折,造成閱讀困難進而影響學習。視障教育的目標在於培養能獨立學習之學生,故基本「文字讀寫的能力」更顯重要。傳統輔助低視力學生的「閱讀媒介」,在使用上有諸多的限制。近年來則因電腦輔助工具的成熟,使得電腦輔助工具的實用性大增,帶來新的教育契機。本研究的目的主要有三項:(一)依低視力學生特質設計一套電腦輔助中文識字教學教材。(二)提供低視力學生識字上可行的學習策略。(三)瞭解在此一系列課程設計下低視力學生識字學習情況。因此本研究設計一系列軟、硬體的配合,再融合中文識字理論發展教學策略進行八次教學活動。並透過立即性評量、延宕測驗、參與觀察記錄與教師研究日誌來瞭解教學介入後的學習成效。本研究之結果有以下四點發現:(一)電腦為閱讀媒介並加入中文部件分色的教學能提升低視力學生識字學習,並具有較佳學習保留成效。(二)中文部件分色策略的成功主要因為「促進文字結構辨識」與「引導出分段記憶策略使用」。(三)筆畫複雜、字形結構集中、不對稱與細微差異的文字為低視力學生辨識困難的文字類型。(四)電腦科技融入教學的給予低視力學生生理與心理的協助。從研究發現中基本上可以肯定結合電腦輔助工具與中文部件分色策略對於低視力學生識字學習有正面助益。

Reading is the basic fundation of learnings, and reading is based on word recognition. Because the congenital restrict of visual ability, students with low vision encounter more obstacles to word recognition. This kind of situation resulted in reading difficulties, even a decline in learning. The goal of education in visually handicapped is to cultivate students who can learn independently. So word recognition and writing ability is more important. Traditional reading media's application is more limited. Recently years, the improvement of computer assistant tools makes themselves more practical to use and brings the new opportunity of education. There are three purposes of this research. Firstly, develop a CAI software of word recognition based on the attributes of low vision students. Secondly, provide them with practical learning strategy. Thirdly, find out the word recognition results of low vision students under those arrangements. We design a mixed method, including a series of combination of computer softwares and hardwares and teaching strategy developed from word recognition theory in Chinese, to conduct 8 time courses, assessing efforts by posttest, postpone test, obseravation record and teacher journal. And there are four findings in this research. Firstly, these designed courses can make them progress in word recognition and have better retainable effect. Secondly, the key to success of color method of classifying chinese characters strategy is "helping word structure recognition" and "leading dissected memorial strategy usage". Thirdly, complicated stroke, serried, asymmetric and slight different in word shape are the types they feel difficult to recognize. Fourthly, computer technology in teaching provides them with physiological and psychological helps. We can basically approve from this research that the combinition of computer assistant tools and the color method of classifying chinese characters strategy has right efforts on the study of low vision students' word recognition.
