唐代道教《坐忘論》的思想史意義－宋朝士大夫的觀點

Intellectual Historical Significance of Taoist Zuowanglun during Tang Dynasty: Viewpoints of Scholar-Bureaucrats from Song Dynasty

摘要

唐代是道教思想開花結果的輝煌時代，當時的道教界轉化了《莊子》「坐忘」的概念，撰著出三篇「坐忘論」，其中以高道司馬承禎的《坐忘論》最為有名。除了在道教內部產生深遠影響之外，也引起宋代以降士大夫階層的關注，但是這種現象常常被學界忽略。本文即聚焦宋代的士大夫對於司馬承禎《坐忘論》的討論與回應，希望考察「坐忘論」的議題在思想史上所激起的漣漪。

Taoism flourished during the Tang dynasty, and Taoists produced several works based on the concept of "zuowang" to spread Taoism. Three of these works share the same name, Zuowanglun, and one was authored by the famous Taoist Sima Chengzhen. Sima's work gained popularity during the Song dynasty. Intellectuals have discussed various aspects of Sima's Zuowanglun, including its significance to moral practice, politics, and literature. This study explored the effects of Sima's Zuowanglun during the Song dynasty.
