1982~1985年在高屏地區大豆、紅豆田連續三年利用性費洛蒙誘蟲盒,周年觀察斜紋夜蛾之族羣消長,得知每年11月至翌年2月為高峯期,3月至6月上旬有一高低不很規則之小峰期,6月中旬以後至10月間之高溫、多濕季節族羣密度則很低。性費洛蒙誘蟲盒之設置高度對誘殺效果差異極顯著,設置高度以1m與1.5m最佳。性費洛蒙誘蟲盒與處女蛾誘蟲盒的誘殺比例為26:1。利用性費洛蒙誘殺的結果,紅豆、大豆之葉片受斜紋夜蛾幼蟲為害普遍減輕,就秋裡作而言,1982年減輕3%,1983年為13%,1984年為6%。
Sex pheromone traps were placed in the soybean and aduzki bean fields from 1982 to 1985 for studying the occurrence of population density of Spodoptera litura. Results showed that the highest population density of S. litura occurred from November to February of the next year. Lower peak was observed from March to early June. Due to the high temperature and humidity conditions, low population density was found from mid-June to October. Placement height of the sex pheromone trap significantly affects the trapping efficiency. The best control effects of S. litura were obtained when the placement of traps at the heights of 1 m or 1.5m above the ground. The ratio of S. litura trapped by traps containing sex pheromone and by virgin female moths was 26 to 1. The leaf of soybean and adzuki bean damaged by S. litura in fall crop season were 3, 13 and 6% in 1982, 1983 and 1984, respectively.
